Hula is a way of life that connects our present to the past via our Kumu and hālau. It is the way that you hold each each otherʻs hands in the good times and hold each otherʻs hearts in the bad times. How you love, inspire and lift each other so that all can grow and flourish.
Hula is present in everything that I do. Our hālau is 'ohana and holds a special place in my heart. Hālau is a place where I feel closest to nā kupuna who came before us, those who sacrificed so that we may all enjoy hula today. I am humbly grateful for the opportunity to kōkua my Kumu and our haumāna in the perpetuation of hula and the traditions of Hawai'i Nei.

Being a member of this hālau and the 'ohana that comes with it has been and continues to be wonderful, an experience that is truly a blessing and a gift. It is an honor to learn about and to share the culture and history of Hawaii and the `ike of our Kumu in the form of hula.
Fortunately there is more to this than just the dance. It is a way of life involving the way we act on an everyday basis toward one another, to remember and to connect with our past and our kūpuna, to really touch the 'āina, and to look forward to perpetuate a culture built on the spirit of aloha. I am privileged to be a part of this hālau and am looking forward to continuing life's journey with them.
